Job description

As a member of the Elemental and Structural Product Portfolio management team and influential senior leader within the business, the Group Product Manager XRF is responsible for building a healthy, winning portfolio of solutions that offers attractive value propositions to our customers at the right quality levels and is instrumental to our strategy for profitable growth.

You will be responsible for sub-portfolio management that includes defining the XRF product portfolio vision, strategy and roadmaps (hardware, software, service, expertise) and governing the health of the portfolio (risk management, lifecycle, profitability, quality, innovation). You will propose priorities for the portfolio and ensure product management deliverables for NVI (New Value Innovation), VOC (Voice of the Customer), GPS (global price setting and management) and sales enablement (CPQ, Highspot).

What are your responsibilities?
  • You will maintain, grow, and expand the XRF product portfolio through organic growth and M&A
    • Develop XRF Product Portfolio strategy and roadmaps (hardware, software, service, expertise) based on VOC, Sector Growth initiatives, industry, technology and competitive trends and align with R&D on supporting technology roadmaps.
    • Execute XRF Product Portfolio strategy and roadmaps, aligned to strategic priorities, including investment and divestments.
    • Manage lifecycle of product families and product lines, including proposals for investments and divestments.
    • Identify and evaluate M&A targets and support on execution.
  • You will ensure XRF product management deliverables in the NVI (New Value Innovation) process
    • Propose NVI projects pipeline based on the strategic goals of sectors and product portfolio.
    • Supervise the gathering and analysis of market, customer, technology and competitive trends.
    • Oversee the use customer insights together with portfolio profitability, performance data and cross-functional input to fill the NVI ideas funnel, complete NVI stage gates and define go-to-market plans.
    • Oversee the translation of value propositions into user requirements and sets priorities between scope and time in delivering them.
  • You collaborate on the development of annual go-to-market plans for the portfolio
    • Define product configurations.
    • Propose pricing strategies and tactics.
    • Define product specific sales enablement activities.
    • Deliver, in collaboration with sectors and marketing teams, marketing activation plans for product launch, providing, among others, customer target identification, value proposition, value walks and marketing content descriptions.
  • You drive functional excellence
    • Lead a team of XRF product managers.
    • Identify internal and external best practice, acting as a thought leader for the product management function.
    • Build an engaged team that continues to raise the bar.
    • Inspire others around with energy and ambition to do the best for our business, customers and people.
    • Champion talent with coaching and encouragement.

Your profile

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in science. Master or PhD Degree in Science or MBA are preferred.
  • You are happy to travel globally to visit colleagues and customers, up to 20% of your time.
  • You live quite close to Almelo, The Netherlands as you will interact with other teams often. A hybrid remote/onsite model is desired.
