Sales support engineer

We are looking for a Sales Order Processor who will join the team in Hengelo and assist them in making a valuable difference in the century to come. The purpose of the role is focusing on accurate customer order processing. It is a key role between our external customers and internal organization/departments, therefore it requires good communication skills and excellent knowledge of systems and processes. Furthermore, it is a key development role and creates a succession path within the Contracts Team and the wider Howden Hengelo organization.

Job description
  • Providing excellent customer service to our customers and Sales team.
  • Handling of inbound customer calls, customer orders and contracts.
  • Responsible for order entry in ERP system and in time and complete order confirmation to customers.
  • Support the Contracts and Sales team with quotations and product enquiries.
  • Maintaining customer records in ERP and CRM system.
  • Providing basic technical product information.
Your profile 
  • HBO education level.
  • Interest in the technical aspects in the role, commercial understanding and creativity to find the best solution (thinking out of the box).
  • A continuous improvement mind-set: seek, propose, try, evaluate and implement improvements. Take initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including an open and engaging communication style.
  • Team player, responsible and a self-starter.
  • Quality consciousness.
  • Good in setting priorities setting and strong time management skills.
  • Fluency in English, good German talkative skills, French would be an asset.
  • Operational knowledge of ERP and CRM systems, MS office preferred.
  • 2-5 years working experience.
